We had the pleasure of having MACSHANE run Hale School's Year 9 Public Speaking program over three engaging sessions. The program concluded with a masterclass workshop that was both inspirational and highly practical. MACSHANE’s professional approach and dynamic delivery kept the boys engaged and motivated throughout, equipping them with valuable tools to enhance their presentation skills. His ability to connect with the students and bring out their confidence was impressive. The feedback from the boys, parents and staff has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re looking forward to collaborating with MACSHANE again for next year’s program and continuing to build on this success!
We had the pleasure of working with MACSHANE, who performed at one of our Young Adult events in Perth, WA. Macshane delivered a dynamic and highly engaging freestyle rap performance during one of our overnight programs for young people aged 12–17 impacted by cancer. Having experienced the magic of his shows at both the Perth and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, I knew his infectious energy, adaptability, creativity, and professionalism would create a memorable and meaningful experience for our group. From the outset, Macshane took great care to understand the needs of our young people, building trust and forming positive connections. His performance was captivating, leaving the audience thoroughly impressed by his incredible talent. For more than half of our attendees, it was the highlight of camp. Macshane is not just a rapper; he’s a maestro of words who has brought the rhythm and rhyme of poetry to life for Year 7 students. His passion for his art is infectious, and his ability to connect with the students on their level was wonderful to see. He’s not only taught them metaphors and similes but most importantly that poetry can be fun. The students were deeply engaged in the games and rapping while learning about the poetic devices they will need for his unit of work.
Stian Macshane’s incursion at Harrisdale Senior High School was an engaging and energising experience for our Year 10 and 12 students. Macshane’s professionalism and artistry made him an ideal contributor to our festival, and his visit has left a lasting impression on our school community.
